Re: Street Eliminator project “it doesn’t say you cant”

Tires- they grow pretty significantly on the hit. The wheelie bar is set so when the front tires grow it takes the weight off the rear tires so you are probably hearing some chatter from that as well. On the last couple runs I took out some power and it helped the launch a bit. Once the new motor ar...

Re: Street Eliminator project “it doesn’t say you cant”

Using up some DR10 front tires on the rear since they are not doing much. They are the same size as a buggy front. Some just use a stock bandit tire and wheel. On the front I have a set of DE Racing drag tires on proline wheels for the pro track suspension which offsets them in just a bit. If the fr...

PK Corally 1/12 Car Build

For the wheels, rather than fit foam tires to the kit wheels, I opted instead for later-spec pre-glued/trued ones. 20200710_173241.jpg These wheels are no longer carbon-filled and look like ABS plastic instead. They lack the embossed logo of the carbon-filled wheels and look rather plain. 20200710_1...

Re: PB ACE - The Prototype

Here is mine, ineteresting to see PB actually considered to build it as a mid motor like the Mustang and Maxima but went for the rear motored version in the end, which actually made it a failure. Still an incredibly nice looking car. These are probably one of the rarest models today, spare parts are...

Re: 3D printer for parts

I ran across this youtube video discussing threaded M3 brass inserts, and I just had to do some testing myself. G-UF4tv3Hvc I am using these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087NBYF65/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which are shown in the video as the "mid priced" op...

Re: MTR 1213E - RC12 IFS chassis base

I’ve always heard it referred to as a 12is. 12i was the base, the “i” didn’t stand for independent, the “s” was added for the front suspension. It doesn’t appear that AE called it a 12is, they referred to it as a 12i suspension car or 12i shock suspension

Re: Turbo Optima mid (SE???)

FWIW, I've owned 3 or 4 Mids and all of them were missing part OPM-9. You can see it here on page 13 of the manual. OPM-9.JPG I've never actually seen one but I think it's rubber. It's meant to seal the underside of the belt cover where the belt exits the rear gearbox - directly above the motor. Th...
