Re: Any tips on reducing a collection
Step #1: Stop buying new-to-you vehicles. You would think this would be common sense, but at least in my regard, it is the toughest obstacle. Not getting more cars seems to make sense . I am trying to make space for things that are more interesting. Seems like I am going to take a few approaches. T...

Re: Any tips on reducing a collection
I am trying to make space for things that are more interesting. What is more interesting? Some of my projects seems become less interesting when they just keep breaking , or keep needing parts. As far as what is more interesting is the build and learning new things. It enjoyed learning about how to...

Re: Back into the scene!
What is a fortune for a child is surprisingly only a bad idea for an adult. Welcome aboard. Tamiya kits are amazing since so many have stayed in production.  Very true! I agree, looking at build videos brings back so many memories...my list of future potential builds is already a dozen c...

Re: Ideal vintage 2wd wheelbase
Having mostly Tamiya and Associated 2wd buggies in my runner stable, I am used to the 10.5-ish wheelbase common in gold tubs and Madcaps. I picked up a Traxxas Bandit awhile back and will probably get into modding it this winter. The first thing that struck me was how long its wheelbase was, like t...

Re: B4 top shaft in RC10 stealth trans
Yeahhhhp saw that when i went back to review the instructions. Thank you for your input! This has all been a great help. I got some MIP dogbones in the mail today and polished them and added those as well. Still waiting on a front arm to get back to it to test drive but it's super smooth and quiet....

Re: Part #: 6579 (Associated Diff Drive Rings) : This item has been discontinued
I was looking into hardness a little more since my previous post. I don't think the B70 is going to cut it, even though those washers are pretty much identical dimension wise. Here's another option with C44 hardness. They are a little thinner, but these might actually do the trick. I'm no expert on...

Re: Have Good News - Please post it here
I played battleship for shots yesterday and woke up without a hangover.
Today I ate pizza.
Found some random vintage associated parts on the shelf of a hobby shop.
All in all this feels like a win.

Re: RC10 World's Car
If it’s an attractive cost to you than go for it. Getting all of the bits together for collecting can be challenging and getting it all in one go helps save time if that’s your goal.
Now just think about what one looks best on the shelf to you. To play it safe you should get both to have options.

Re: Best Upgrades
That movie had me actually laughing out loud when I saw it. I forgot it existed. I can't believe it's been over a decade since it was in theaters. Thanks for the clip.THEYTOOKMYTHUMB wrote: ↑Mon Dec 20, 2021 9:24 pm Sorry, but the question about polls made me think of this scene, different spelling. Not for tiny ears.

Re: Dusty Team Car + Wheel/Tire Qs
Hey guys! I moved into a new house earlier this year. Yay! RC stuff is almost done being unboxed. Lots of organizing going on now. Anyway, some of my cars and most of my projects have been boxed up for 2-3 years and are now seeing the light. One of my "finds" is this very dusty RC10 Team ...

Re: Long term storage of cars and parts
I stashed a load of old cars away in various tubs & cases for about 6yrs in various locations loft, garage, shed etc & the one that fared the best was in a cardboard box with lots of scrunched up newspaper around it so obviously the key is insulation. The car has lots of exposed metalwork, ...

Re: Bagged OEM parts organization
This inquiry interests me too. I went with the 8' x 4' sheet pegboard inventory method but quickly ran out of space. And don't have the wall space to hang more sheets so parts started piling up in boxes. Therefore, I need to come up with a new organized inventory system as well. After filling up a ...
