Re: Who owns every generation RC10?
/With the rich history of the RC10, it's a bit hard to define what "every generation" means, really, as there have been so many "transitional" versions... do you make a difference between the early edinger and the edinger? Or, do you consider all gold-panned, 6G short front arms ...

Re: Kyosho Turbo Burns - New Rebuild
Great build so far. I have similar tower hobbies memories. For me, I was 15 and drooling over the original Burns. It's advertised 50 mph out of the box was unbelievable. In my opinion, the Burns series was one of the most iconic 1/8 nitro buggies. Decades later I did end up with an Inferno during m...

Re: Sacrilege build - AYK Pro Radiant RACER
But then, as luck would have it - I was able to get a 2nd Radiant - notice I did not say Pro :) this happened to be (per Steve Dunn via Facebook) and early conversion car from Radiant to a mid motor "Pro" car. So my focus changed to swap arms on this one, keeping the killer orange arms asi...

Yokomo Pavidis?
Hello, I bought this really nice car some weeks ago and thought I share some pictures of it. The guy who owned it bought it new in Japan many years ago. It is brand new and has not yet been completely build, comes with some extra parts, tyres, rims etc, one funny detail is the paper note from the ho...

Re: My original and sad looking 870c
Hello old girl... my much lightened 870c steadily returning to life, together with her (unlightened) sister car. I am building it back to my 1991 Radio Race Car Series format. As you can see from this quick mock-up the chassis and bulkheads are strict swiss cheese spec, Option House shocks all round...

Rc10t3 Reedy Edition Build
So I did a trade the other day for an Rc10t3 on Craigslist. I got the truck and it is in pretty good condition. I would like to build it to run on a track and would like to know how people have set it up. Right know its pretty stock. It has a Hi-tech Transmitter, Receiver and Servo. The motor is a R...

Hot Trick style 870c
Finally got around to cleaning up this beat up old yok. Looking a little better now- fresh pulleys, rear and center caps, tough belts, rebuilt diffs, Robinson spur, and some Hot Trick red g10. Still need to cut the custom upper brace, make a bumper, and round up some original battery posts. For now ...

Re: Hoseman50 kyosho inferno showroom
MP5 painted. Finished the MP5 in Repsol livery. Pleased with how this came out in the end. This is the third shell I’ve painted in about a month, took a lot more care with the masking, also any bits of overspray or bleed through were removed with graffiti remover before the next layer of paint was a...

Yokomo MX-4 SSG Special
Hey everyone. It has been a while since I last posted on here with a build project and having been able to procure the parts needed for this Yokomo MX-4 Hybrid, I would like to share some of the parts used and build progress with you all. I was inspired by Cristian and his own Yokomo MR4-BC Special ...

Re: Yokomo MX-4 SSG Special
Made some progress mounting the front and rear bulkheads onto the chassis and installing the drivetrain. I forgot how compact the slipper clutch/one-way assembly and rear differential are but once installed onto the chassis, everything fits perfectly and is a testament to the design ability of Masaa...

Re: Yokomo MX-4 SSG Special
Last pieces to be installed apart from the rims, tires, body, wing and undertray. The shocks are from the Yokomo MR4-BC Special and are wonderful units. I am quite familiar with these style of Yokomo shocks as I have built and rebuilt the touring car versions many times over the years. The bleed scr...

Re: Kyosho Burns MP-1 Restoration
I look forward to your build thread. The OG Burns is very iconic. Sucks to hear about selling your unused Burns. Whoever got it sure did score. I have rebuilt a few Turbo Burns and Turbo Inferno buggies. I have links to those builds in my gallery link below. I recently bought a nice Kyosho USA1 that...

Re: Kyosho Burns MP-1 Restoration
Looks really good there, you’re moving along quickly.
When you’re on a roll, you just want to keep cleaning and rebuilding.
Yours is definitely a Burns, the chassis is straight at the rear, where as the turbo Burns has the triangular tabs sticking out.
