Land Speed Rocket Car
Now that the Max Q is down to its last couple runs later this month then being retired to the shelf and freshened up for the 24' BOTM....I am starting a new venture...The Guiness Land Speed Record for R/C Rocket Cars...currently held by the "Black Knight" at 210.11 mph...my car will be designed to pass that mark...it will be roughly 40 inches long, 3.5 to 4lbs....3 engines...and based on 2 Bolink dragster chassis...it will have 3 wheels (two rear/one front)...will need help funding it so donations welcome...stay tuned...this won't be an overnight journey.

Re: Land Speed Rocket Car
Is this going to require renting an airstrip? Don't think my donations will cover that.

Re: Land Speed Rocket Car
Here, drag strips only close for about a month. Mid December through mid January. Track conditions suck in January and February but the air is awesome.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Re: Land Speed Rocket Car
I'd imagine the concrete barrier walls could be dangerous in an instance where car doesn't go straight. Something to keep in mind.

Re: Land Speed Rocket Car
Made some headway today...99% of the stuff is just thoughts in my head...but I have the front steering system figured out, which was gonna be a big hurdle...it's a single wheel inside the body in the chassis, and the chassis is very narrow...pics to come soon

Re: Land Speed Rocket Car
Awesome idea, but will that work well with the axle in front of the kingpin?
