Wheels Help!

Post by Brat »

Hi guys, I'm looking for the wheels and tires in the attached photo. Can any kind soul advise me on the brand and where can I get them. Also, will they fit to my original RC10 setup? Please kindly advise.
Sorry FERRETI, I've used your pic without informing you before hand. Thousand apologies!!!!

They look like the one piece B2/B3 rims. I think they should work with the original RC10 setup but I am not sure. Asked that myself last weekend. Not sure about that rear tyres too. Maybe Pro-Line Square Fuzzie or Losi Taper Pins. :?:

I thinks its the "Worlds Car" rear wheels

If its the B2/B3 wheels, they will not fit the original RC10. But its posible to use them with the B2 rearhubs, bearings and driveshafts. The Tubs used bigger axles at the bearing end and them became normal diameter where the wheelnut is. The B2/B3 axles had 1 diameter for the whole axle.
Genius by ignorance

Those wheels are B2/B3 wheels. Coxy ben tells me how to fit B2 wheels on 1/4 axles. I have made my own tool to make that modification:

It's a modified rear axle, you can try with a 1/4 drill, but it's scary.

I drill untill the axle fits properly.

To have a perfect fit, I have glued a really thin (0.005 inch 0.125 mm ) home made stainless steel 1/4 tube in the external side of the wheel hole.

The rear tyres are proline stubble and the fronts are proline wide fives, I know this it's written on them

May be a bit off the original topic( my apoligies Brat  ) , but are there no wheels that can be used on the original rc10 that would allow the use of Modern buggy tires and wheels without changing the axles :?: I would love to run new tires and wheels on a vintage rc10 buggy then be able to just change the old tires and wheels and put her back on the shelf  any ideas??

as far as i know, b4 rear wheels won't work on an old rc10 because they have too much neg. offset.

here's what ya need............

b2/b3 front wheels - http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LX3456&P=SM

b2/b3 rear wheels - http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LX3236&P=SM

mip b2 cvd's - http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXAX37&P=SM

i know there's a link to the 3/8 x 3/16 flanged bearings somewhere on the board. i just got to find it. also, depending on the front wheel bearing you have now, you need 3/8 x 3/16 plain bearings for the b2 front wheels. and then just pick whatever 2.2 tires you want.

edit - here's the link to the rear bearings - http://www.avidrc.com/?action=item&id=88
