Re: Next Re-Re - Sand Scorcher
The first real R/C car I ever saw was my neighbors Sand Scorcher. I have always wanted one, but now I am getting more into racing again and would rather spend my money on runner parts.
Although.. it would look great next to my Re-re Frog and HotShot

Tower still stocks 'em....so far..dsmith wrote:a guy at tamiya said the BC was here to stay....last time i looked on tamiyausa. the BC is discontinued now ...glad i got one when i did...DerbyDan wrote:I would love one of these Re-re Sand Scorchers (I just couldn't justify the cost of a 'real' one) Does anyone know if this model will become a permenent model in the Tamiya line-up or is it going to be a limited production run only?

Re: Next Re-Re - Sand Scorcher
They show them as in stock, quantity limited, and I got an item availability Email, yet my order is still listed as backordered, "Invoiced, Awaiting Product From Manufacturer"

Re: Next Re-Re - Sand Scorcher
Can you blame him? If I had a hobby shop I'd probably do the same thing. Building the Buggy Champ was some of the most fun building an r/c I've ever had. I think I'm going to get a Sand Scorcher just to keep in the box for now, then in a couple years when I get the urge, I'll build it.dsmith wrote:yeah ...my b-day is today... and i got one of these cool kits...ill be busting it open in awhile

It's hard fighting the urge to cut into that beautiful blister-packaging!MelvinsArmy wrote:I think I'm going to get a Sand Scorcher just to keep in the box for now, then in a couple years when I get the urge, I'll build it.
I'd forgotten how well presented these old Tamiya kits where - everything individually sealed in its own little clear polycarbonate compartment, on coloured card backing. Seens a real shame to have to cut them open!
