i got the mamba max 5700 with 2s lipo running an all alloy stealth transmission (minus the spur gear) and I find it's lot to handle. No bad in sand though :D

I've been looking for metal internals for the stealth-- where did you find them, please?

you can find alloy idler gears on ebay now and then.

there used to be a hobby shop that sold alloy diffs that were labeled as GT diffs, but were actually the stealths ones. I'm not sure which shop it was though or if they have anymore in.

Is the alloy gear different from the RR steel gear? I see the RobinsonRacing steel idler gear often, is that what you replaced the plastic ones with?

either RR or hg, when it comes down to it as long as it is alloy. Just remember to keep those gears well greased when you are ready.

Will this gear(s) fit any of the stealth transmissions or only certain models?

I run the Castle systems in all my cars and trucks. I have a few Mamba Max's and the new Mamba Max Pro which is ROAR legal (don't know why the older ones aren't). I could not be happier. I have not run them in a 6 gear but use caution. A 4600 would be more than enough for most normal activities. I use a 5700 in my T4 and is all I can take on a dirt track. On pavemet with the slipper a little to tight, I can be at a half throttle steady speed and then nail it, on its back it goes. Loosen the slipper a little and it is a rocket. Just have a few extra slipper pads around. This is on a 4200 NiMH by the way. A 3c is not necessary. I also have a 6900. Forget about it. It is cool to try to get it hooked up to full speed but is not very practical for control. My son has a 4600 and I think this is what I will get also. It is a good combo of power, control, and runtime. The Castle Link software is awesome. If you twak the initial punch and a gradual throttle curve to reduce the initial torque I think you will be OK. I think it would be the wheelie poping torque that would doom the 6 gear, not so much the rpm. Like stated before, I you do time bomb the six gear, the stealth is up to the task
