My 3 year old taught himself how to use side cutters ;(

Post by aconsola »

we had a birthday party for our now 7year old daughter yesterday. I went to work on my new losi crawler last night which was sitting on my workbench in the basement. Found that the lead from the brand new hitec 7950 servo was cut in the middle , as was the sensor wire and one of the battery leads on the goat 3s system. I hadn't gotten a battery plug soldered on the esc yet, so neither had even been powered up prior to the cut.

I asked my son this morning if he knew what happened. He denied involvement, implicating various suspects including the easter bunny.
Several hours after discussing it he came over and said " I'm reawwy sowwy about cutting your wires, it was an accident." Almost cute enough to make me feel guilty for being so annoyed earlier.

That would definitely put a crimp in your fun, right there!

The wire snips hanging out of his pocket wasn't a clue? Kids do the darnedest things ...

Cute story. Luckily he only cut your servo wires and not himself.

I went into my shop bathroom today, and found that my 6 year old daughter had emptied my rather sizeable box of carbon fiber bits (scrap and cuttoffs) into the toilet. She didn't try to flush them, -or anything else she left there either  . Yes, kids do the darndest things...

And they call me nuts for having dogs rather than kids....

Although, I do have a factory finished Tamiya body that now sports teeth marks on the once pristing decals..... and they do call me nuts for other reasons....
