Monster Trucks?
I'm new to this forum. I see a lot of Lazer and Optima threads (and rightfully so) but anyone out there a fan of the Kyosho Vintage monster trucks?

Re: Monster Trucks?
My view on the subject has always been that its not an R/C monster truck unless it has at least one straight axle under it. Theres only one or two exceptions I'll make to that rule.
But anyway speaking of Kyosho "monster trucks" the first nitro powered R/C I ever owned was a Nitro Thrasher. This was back in 92-93 I believe. I drove the hell out of that thing for years. Its OS .12 CZR never gave me an ounce of trouble.

Re: Monster Trucks?
Fair enough on the classification of "Monster Truck" LOL.
I had and sold my Double Dare and Big Boss. All that's left is my Big Brute which I'll probably end up selling to fund other projects.

Re: Monster Trucks?
USA-1, do you have a USA-1 stock electric. I am currently working on mine and I noticed that while having my clod right alongside it, the clod plastic tub is 3X if not 4X bigger then the USA-1 plastic chassis. Too bad not a lot of company made aftermarket parts for the USA-1. In my opinion I thought maybe the USA-1 should of had more aftermarket parts because it was a lesser vehicle to start with compared to the Clod. As I am looking at my USA-1, in pieces at the moment, I truly can understand why the clod pounded on the competition between the two.

Re: Monster Trucks?
Am I wrong to say that companies make/made aftermarket parts for more of what was/is popular than what would benefit from them? You have to make whats going to sell I suppose.
I think the only companies that made hop-ups for the USA-1 were Sassy and Thorp.

Re: Monster Trucks?
That is a nice looking USA-1. I've always wanted a USA-1 and Clod. I ended up with a Double Dare (same but the narrower tires as the USA-1) Big Boss and Big Brute. All of which have gone by the wayside.
I'm still trying to fund and find a cheap Clodbuster.

No I don't I wasn't too impressed with all that plastic back then, sorry but there is a few USA-1 sassy chassis on Ebay right now.
Re: Monster Trucks?
Yes, I saw that on the Bay. Very nice by Sassy Chassis. The USA-1 was the only other competitor to the Clod. No one was really making any solid axles back then.
