Re: Goldie into runner build
I may go with RPM in the back, but I plan on AE arms up front. The way I drive, it needs to be something I can hit the LHS and pick up!

If you are using the RPM, you will need B3 cvd's. I used the RPM arms on the Stepchild blue chassis, and used the B3 cvd's. B4s are too long.JK Racing wrote:I may go with RPM in the back, but I plan on AE arms up front. The way I drive, it needs to be something I can hit the LHS and pick up!

Re: Goldie into runner build
I was under the impression than the B3 CVD were too short, that's why ya had to mill out the inner rear hubs to allow for the length of the B4 CVD, but I could be wrong.

Re: Goldie into runner build
the B3 is the perfect length for an "almost stock" sized set up. In fact, I am using them for the CE build as well.

I got them from Dynotech Racing. The carriers are RPM RC10GT carriers.

The birth of Faux Worlds
Donor car showed up, lots more hidden goodies on that car than I anticipated, so I spent all day yesterday re-dying the purple-ish stuff back to black, had just gotten done refinishing (fancy word for spray painting) an A chassis/noseplate, so off the graphite plate (maybe a future project) and onto the A pan all the parts went. Tossed the ARTR onto eBay to fund the next steps of this build...
So:
I have de-anno'd the B4 RTR shocks, gave them a quick polish, put all white hardware on there.
Counter sunk all the screwheads on the pan.
Cleaned up the Losi steering.
Aquired all 4 black arms I needed.
Polished nose tubes and "borrowed" the dog bones/axles from the RTR B4 I robbed the shocks from.
Still needed:
Electronics (earlier items are about 70/30 to the positive going in here)
Rulux wheels (I have the rear already)
Rebuild the shocks (they arent to happy right now)
CVD/Universals in the back
Atlas towers on both ends (the CE towers are only for mock up)
Like many good builds here, this is will get a name - Faux Worlds
I figure since it is the classic Worlds style white/black, just missing the important bits...towers, stealth & brace, milled chassis....
Pics:

OMG...is that a Losi part I spy?

Re: Goldie into runner build
after looking at Eau Rouge's build...I have a lot to work towards.
I still need to get my universals (or CVDs), trim the noseplate and finish the electronics...
OH...body, wing and the real wheels (Rulux).
