Goldie going for a spin at the track...

Post by askbob »

With several shelf quality type projects going on and not much spare time, I've got the itch to build a few racers. The only car I have that is fully functional is the mint CE I picked up from flip last year. I hate to run it, but it does have a full lexan underpan not to mention I'll try and take it easy. . Going to tool around with a couple of guys next weekend that have newly built B4's who haven't raced in awhile either. I'll see what the 17.5 does first, with a 13.5 for backup. Body doesn't fit the 'scheme' too great either, but it was cut and fits good. Put together an old Buds wing too.
This will be my first attempt at wheeling a car around a track seriously in a LONG time. Looking to get a feel for it again, but more so for a good bit of fun. :) Here are a few pics and a link to the track.

Yeah, they do the sliders and others I think. Not 100%, but I think this is the current track layout.

Nice RC10. I like the lexan under pan. I've never seen that before. Is that your design, or is that readily available?

Come on out next Sat. rhino! The lexan undertray is from a member on here(CRS moment) in the BST section. I don't see the thread.

Do they still open at 3 and start racing at 6?

Wow, talk about tame layouts. Could race a touring car on that track lol. Nice car by the way, cool to see you're running it and I love the paint job!

Do you know if they have an open class for sc now? Because the last time I was out there they only had a slash class I would rather bring my SC10. I guess I could just bring my B4.

I'm not sure on the open sc class rhino, this will be my first time there. They do open at 3 for practice until racing at 6. The guy I'm going with, has been several times the past year. I say bring the B4! Weaz, the layout is why I'm gonna run this car.

I had contacted them once, but haven't been up there. I may have to check it out some time. Only about 90 minutes from me. I can't access the youtube vid here at work, but I hope the layout is tame if you're running that car. I can't wait to get home and check it out. :D

Looked like you were wheelin' that thing pretty good Bob! 8) Watched it on my ipod. I like the layout you were running on. I'd only have to remember to turn right twice!
