Man I hope they do! One of my must haves that I will never get unless there is a re-re or I win the lotto. There are 2 others on the list of NIB I must have but I know or highly doubt will ever be re'd is the first Optima and a OG YZ10. The YZ might be attainable if the prices don't go crazy. They come up every now and then for what I think is an acceptable price. I just never seem to have the extra scratch when they do.

There are always nice shelfers on the bay for sale for OK prices but I want to build one from a NIB kit. Thats something I could have never done when I was a kid.

From what I hear, Kyosho destroyed all the molds and stuff needed to make their older cars, like the Optima. :(

I noticed that too. Might be a little truth to the rumor.

I'll just get one of these re-re and built them for the shiok of it. Thereafter, i'll just leave it on my showcase and poisted as the original. Who knows except for yourself right?? Don't worry about those original as these re-re will have the newer plastic and moulding style with 2010!!!
My collections:

the price will keep my from buying one.

it's an expensive bucket of bolts, just like the original. i always did want to build one, but i had a friend with one and it was awfull.
you could hear it falling apart when it drove.

I would think in the instance of the Avante that having an original version would be more desirable than the re-release. Though since people are jumping ship over it the consensus seems to dictate otherwise.

Very cool. If I had more space I'd probably get one just to put together and run around every now and then. I'm glad their getting back on track with some quality re-releases.

I'm actually very excited about this one. Sounds like their best re-re yet. I always liked the Avante. It was almost more infamous than anything by the time I got into the hobby in late '89. I'll be getting one hopefully.
