Hi all, brand new to the site and in a way RC culture after a 20 year hiatus.
I have my original RC10T truck from when I was 10yrs old about 20 years ago, from what I can tell from the research I've done online I think I have the 3rd rendition of the original. When i rescued it after nearly 20 years of storage in my parents basement I figured it would be a fun project to get into.
Some of my main questions are more along the lines of which direction should I go to upgrade the car, but keep some of its original flavor. I've always had problems with I believe its called server board, that controls the speed. I cant find any info on it anywhere or find any pictures of trucks with a setup like mine.
Attached below are a few pics when I just pulled it out of storage, it still has a ways to go but I'm eager and ready
thanks for any help,
Brian

I would replace the mechanical speed control and install an electronic unit, Replace the current suspension arm with RPM arms and run it.

Hey nvxwax, first thing I did was order a full set of RPM suspension arms because one of my original fronts was broken before it was stored.
What electronic speed control unit do you recommend for a weekend use only at this point?
thank you

Re: RC10T rebuild project - got some questions :)
To be honest, out of the 31 cars i have i only run an Axial SCX10 Crawler lol, Im kinda new to all this as well. The big thing now is lipo battery's and brushless motors/speed controls, Im sure someone in here could direct you in the right direction on what ESC to use.
Im sure my crawler setup would be very disappointing in a 10T
