I know, I know but in my defense I did spend all of Saturday at Disneyland :D

Now that I've got a new RPM rear bulkhead I can't finish the rear end until it gets dyed. Which isn't a big deal except that ruined the pot I used last time

Okay time for an update but first I had to go back and address this (which was hysterical  )

Stupid guys with all their stupid super cool builds...

Look at me! I have a good build to show off instead of the same crappy chassis over and over again...

 8)
Believe me I understand, I'm still amazed at what some of the other guys are able to build.

Which brings me to the updated photos. I'm not 100% on a few things, like the shock springs so there may be a few changes. Plus I still have to install the rest of the electronics but either way your feedback is always welcome :D

Silver or gold springs all around, otherwise, I tend to agree with THUMB

Thank you sir, I'm glad you like it. It was your 10T that inspired this build. Although I'd like to I can't take credit for the wheels, Reg is the one that suggested widening them up to fit truck tires. I think the wheel & tire combo gives it an off-road / hot-rod look with the narrow runners up front.

A brand new set of Lohas split 5 spoke Truck wheels!! If you look closely each wheel has one thick and one thin spacer in each. Bringing them to the exact width as a stock set of three piece rears in the back and in front the exact same width as the narrow truck fronts. They'll be wrapped in new Proline Red pro-90's out back and some new Associated narrow truck tires up front. I hope you like :D

Very nice truck BTW, but I would like to ask a few questions!

Are those Lohas buggy wheels? If they are, did you only use the inserts that came with them or did you order extra inserts? How many inserts are in the front wheels, if any?

Thanks

First off, Thanks for the compliment.

And yes they are the same buggy wheels everyone else has. I just added extra spacers to make them even wider. I didn't try to order them so I'm not sure if Emerson will sell them separately. The extra spacers were given to me by a nameless friend that didn't plan on using them (since they're not needed for standard buggy application). When I bought the wheels they came with 2 wide & 2 narrow spacers (x2 for the extra set given to me). After measuring a stock set I determined I needed to add 1 wide & 1 narrow to each wheel. Adding the extra spacer required longer screws than what was supplied, M2 x .4 x 20mm to be exact. In the rear both spacers are on the outer side of the gold center, while in front I added the wide spacer to the outside and the narrow to the inside to get the proper offset. Even though each wheel has the exact same spacers in it, the fronts remained narrower since outer cups were machined shallower than the rears.

Sorry for the long explanation, I hope it makes sense (because it barely does to me ).

I like your chassis a lot better than mine. It looks like yours is an updated one where it goes all the way forward to the front bulkhead. Mine stops back of the steering.

I have a CC worlds chassis designed like your 10T chassis.

Yeah but yours is still gorgeous, not to mention you've got the proper front shock tower that I've got to find . Someone on here sold a couple chassis sets like yours awhile ago that I missed out on. Believe me I was just happy to finally get a set nip :D

Oh I know the car, it's the one with all the red accents, beautiful as always. I just went back to take a look at it, I like that that one came with a metal cross member for the front bulkhead.

MAN, the wheels look sick on this thing, now I feel obligated to get an additional set for my truck.
