RC10T Team Truck
RC10T Team Truck
Picked up this RC10T Team Truck off ebay about a week ago. I had buyer’s remorse after I paid for it but that kind of disappeared after it showed up in the door step lol. The seller was the original owner and said the esc and the remote were not working because he remembered the truck getting wet in the 90's. The ad only had one blurry pic, so it was a last minute impulse buy. Everything ended up working perfectly fine, I was pretty stoked about that.
The truck was really dusty and dirty so I tore it down and cleaned everything. It came with a Futaba Magnum sport radio w/ futaba FP-R112JE receiver, Futaba FP-S148 servo, Tekin 408 ESC, Sapphire 17 turn motor, trinity maxzilla Sanyo 1400 Mah NiCad’s, as well as the standard team truck parts. I also got the original instruction manual w/ RC10t truck catalog, boxed Astroflight 114 NiCad charger, and a set of rear hpi rims and tires.
Plans are to keep it mainly how it is, but I may end up hopping it up with various RPM parts in white if I can find them. If anyone has a spare white rear body mount nub and a white stealth tranny spacer (the one that goes in between the tranny and motor mount) let me know.

Re: RC10T Team Truck
That white body mount nub is going to be a little hard to find!
Nice to see a clean original truck!

Re: RC10T Team Truck
I figured finding any parts in white is going to be hard to find. I might just have to buy the black associated mounts and used the black nubs untill I can track down a white one.

Good plan. I bet that 1400scr still rocks after a few cycles!

Re: RC10T Team Truck
Yea the batt is still kickin'. I was surprised since I have some others that are just as old and I can barely squeeze 2 minutes out of them. lol

Here is an update on my truck build...
Associated 6127 Ford Ranger body
New Proline Pro-90's for the rear
New nose plate, turnbuckles, rpm tranny, rpm ball cups, rpm servo mounts, etc
I have more parts on the way, will update once they arrive.

Re: RC10T Team Truck
Here's what I received today...It's amazing how white the new rims are. I thought the parts on the truck were "white" but they look yellow now.
We will see what tomorrow brings!

Re: RC10T Team Truck
Your truck doesn't look very yellow ( maybe the caster blocks do ) but the AE rims after the jellybeans were almost always much brighter white than the rest of the nylon such as arms and bulkheads. Can we get a shot of what rear arm mounts those are?
Re: RC10T Team Truck
Here's a quick shot of the rear mount. Anything special? Probably just a stock AE part. Would this be considered an early team truck considering it has white parts?

Re: RC10T Team Truck
They are specific to the 7035 team truck, it was the only AE vehicle to come with white 3 deg mounts.
