Big brute should I use original SC?

Hello, I am currently debating if I should use current original mechanical style speed controller or go with an ESC? The big brute has a 360 motor. any ESC recommended highly appreciated. Also it is using a BEC receiver.

Definitely yard out that MSC. Unless you're trying for a bone-stock shelf-queen build, there's no reason to hang onto one of those. Here's a decent deal on a nice ESC with reverse that should work just fine for your needs:
