Grand Prix tires, Moody and other dirt oval tires.
I have seen a couple on here and we've discussed that they are rare. I have a handful and it's neat to see all the different tire treads. Just too bad some of mine are glued to old rims and fearful to remove them intact. I'd like to see what tires you have as I have at least four or five different styles. I wonder if there were more offered.
I also have a couple of Moody tires too. Too bad I don't have a matched set. I guess I could use them as right rears. lol.
I'll try to get some more pics up of mine in a second.

Re: Grand Prix tires, Moody and other dirt oval tires.
Unknown Manufacturer:
Front slicks. About a 2.0.
Kind of neat but only have one. Big tire!
Grand Prix:
I really like this one but only have one that I can find right now.
I tlooks like my slicks but grooved. Neat but again, only have one.
I really like these only because they match up to the Prolines so well! The one on the yellow rim is in really good shape.
My second favorite Grand Prix.
Slicks, the ones in the rear are really used up. The fronts are pretty tall in my opinion compared to the other no namers I have.
Moody:
25-33, these are marked the same but completely different treads. I really like the tread on the right one.
IMEX:
Road Dawgs slicks.
Road Dawgs, I like these because the size is about a 2.2 and looks good size-wise with the bigger Grand Prix. Only downfall is the tread don't match too well. Also need to safely remove these off the old rims. I'd like to salvage these as I think they'll look good on an EDM.

I'm totally in the opposite boat! I keep seeing cool wheels that I want to use with my existing projects, but can never find a full matched set!klavy69 wrote:cool bit of tires there Johnboy72. I don't know how many times I have built a project because I found a cool tire I liked .

Thin rubber "cap" wrapped over a foam tire, I have some old ones here somewhere- we used them at tracks that didn't allow foams. Rubber over foam equals flubbers

this set was on epay last week, I thought they would go 100-150 but this was ridiculous!

Re: Grand Prix tires, Moody and other dirt oval tires.
That was a bit fishy beyond the $100 mark, combine that with the bidder that pushed it so far- I know he has a low bid percentage, and 0 retractions but- who that has bid 1300 times only wins 17 of them and doesn't know enough to hold his cards close to his chest. C'mon-

I didn't bother looking at the bid counts or bidders. I noticed that it was unusually high with like 3 days to go though?

Sure did, especially for parts that have such a small niche-
John, you want other odd ( not that yours are ) oval tires posted here too?
