Re: Robbe Kyosho Le Mans 240S motor
This is the Trinity Bullit motor. As the original AYK GZ240 motors the can actually is black colour but Trinity painted the can with a special colour what affeceted a coarse surface for better heat dissipation. I have seen this with other Trinity motors again but this time in black colour. The red colour was for the AYK based motors only.V12 wrote:Regarding Trinity motors and the other thread. Trinity not only had Kyosho based motors but also some AYK based. I still have my Trinity Bullit what is based on the AYK GZ 240/480 motor. We used this motor for 1/12th racing here.
As you can see the sticker on the motor was of bad quality. After some time the printing was rubbed off from use.

The 480 Gold is a 25x4.
The 240S is a 19t single.
The 240SB has the alloy endbell like the gold but is around a 19t double.
All very cool motors. Jr Rc just sold a NIB 240SB for $45..

Re: Robbe Kyosho Le Mans 240S motor
Don't know if this helps with dates for the Kyosho motors,
but I received this with my Kyosho Maxxum back around 1988. I know the maxxum instructions says it comes with the 240St but this is what came with my maxxum kit that I got (I bought it when the maxxum was disscontinued and the whole kit sold for $89.99 with motor from tower hobbies). I also read somewhere (I forget) that the Turbo Ultima had it as well.
