Robbe Kyosho Le Mans 240S motor
Just got this nice Kyosho Le Mans 240S motor NIB. What makes the motor different is this was sold from German brand Robbe so different packaging also the label says Robbe instead of Kyosho.

Where did you get that motor? Is it newly built or new-old-stock?
Can you give info on ordering, if available?

No it´s not available for ordering as it´s no new production. This motor was laying somewhere for a very long time and was offered to me now. Don´t even remember exactly when the 240S was released.
Actually I didn´t even notice the Robbe label on first view.

Re: Robbe Kyosho Le Mans 240S motor
First time I saw the 240S was in the turbo rocky, but somehow I also remember it being linked to the turbo optima, so it must be 1986. Winding was 21x1 or 23x1, not sure.
I like it in red where's the second one???

Re: Robbe Kyosho Le Mans 240S motor
The winding is 19x1.
Turbo Optima and in Salute had this motor in to box but originally this is very old motor. I found one interesting pic a few days ago about 240S. This pic is from Kyosho mini gatalog from 1986 and like everybody knows, Optima's promo pics to box and catalogs there is standard 540 with rubber cover on it installed, but in this pic, there is a 240S. So Kyosho did run at least twice with this car.

The Le Mans motor was released back in 1982 or 1983V12 wrote:No it´s not available for ordering as it´s no new production. This motor was laying somewhere for a very long time and was offered to me now. Don´t even remember exactly when the 240S was released.

Re: Robbe Kyosho Le Mans 240S motor
Talking with Jirka he ment something similar as this time range.
Regarding Trinity motors and the other thread. Trinity not only had Kyosho based motors but also some AYK based. I still have my Trinity Bullit what is based on the AYK GZ 240/480 motor. We used this motor for 1/12th racing here.
As for Kyosho based Trinity motors, some time ago I got a new Trinity Monster motor 1985 with slot brushes (by Big Jim) what was posted at an other thread already. One of the most expensive motors ever. Very similar to the Checkpoint slot brush motors (also by Big Jim).

Re: Robbe Kyosho Le Mans 240S motor
The Lemans 240,s only came in one kit the Turbo Optima. Not to be confused with the first MID which came with the 240 ST a water down version of the 240 S. ( Non rebuildable , Bushings)
The Salute had no motor in it or electrics.
The Turbo Rocky came with no motor as well.
Kyosho did advertise option motors with their cars.
It is a 19t single. The 240 SB was in theory slightly better with a Alloy endbell and a double wind.
I never seen it rebadged except for a Trinity version. Trinty did buy the Kyosho motor division out and re stamped the endbell to EPIC. ( Earni Poverti Inport Corporation ) and started their own design cans, motors, arms etc.
A very nice find indeed.
I just got a another near new Le Mans but is very different to the nice candy Le Mans. It's on road version with a blue alloy end bell. All i can tell it's a double wind.

Re: Robbe Kyosho Le Mans 240S motor
Don´t know if it was dependend on the distributor but I´m pretty sure my Turbo Optima had not a 240S but a 240SB included. At least I remember a brown coloured Le Mans what should be a 240SB. But I sold this motor then as I was more satisfied with the Demon (Reedy) motors I was running that time.

My Kyosho based Trinity motor could be find here http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=22209GJW wrote:can you put up a link to the thread? id like to see the motor/s
This is the only Kyosho based Trinity motor I own currently made 1985. But you can find an other one somewhere here what should be even older as it´s using the three piece can.
