Given to me free, lots of pics, any help is appreciated

Post by Goatless »

Hi guys. This is my first post on this board. A brief history about myself... I have been around RC since childhood like most of you. The Grasshopper being my 1st real car followed by the RC10 later. Years later after having kids, I decided to get into the hobby again in the late 90's with monster trucks, working my way to racing 1/8 offroad in the RC Proseries. Those days are gone, other than a few Losi Sliders, a few electric street cars, and remnants of my racing days, lol.
A few weeks ago, my ex-brother-in-law called me up asking if I wanted a few boxes of old RC gear, of course I said yes. The following pics are a small portion of what was in the boxes. As I was never a RC10 expert, I have no idea what I have other than a few pieces I researched on here one night.
There are several pics. The boxes contain numerous parts, as I believe there are even more parts in plastic for the Top Cat I did not take pictures of. Alot of parts appear brand new, never used.
My question to you guys....Is there anything I SHOULD be looking for? Im thinking this will be a fun retro build to get my juices flowing again and get me off the TV for few nights, lol. Thanks in advance guys, I know I'm at the right place for any help i may need down the road.

Thanks for the Welcome guys. There are probably 3x the parts NIP for the Top Cat. There is also a manual fr a JRX2 and an Optima, so, some parts may be for these as well. Im just t a loss as what to do, lol. The only part I have not seen are any cvd's, but I'm sure i can track those down. I'm thinking maybe a nice build I can donate to my local HobbyTown to display in there window, then again, I wanna play!!

lol, sorry for the cramp. Grabbed the phone and snapped away. I have been very impressed with several posts I've read and the knowledge of these cars on this board. I really want to do a build, and do it right. I'd hate to leave a certain part out thats hard to come by, or include a part that should've maybe been left out. Hot Tricks or Gold Pan? Black parts or White? Aluminum wheels or Factory? ( I'm sure I have New sets) Sprint Car or Stocker? These are just a few thoughts rambling thru my head!!!
Yes, HobbyTown, lol. One of 3 local Hobby Shops, as RC isnt big in Memphis, we dont even have a track of ANY kind!! Whic led to me not racing anymore, traveling is EXPENSIVE!!!

Seeing that I pit for a local ASCS driver locally, it is high on my list. I'm thinking I'm only missing the lexan nose piece, sooooooooo, if anyone runs across one.........

more pics for your pleasure. I have no clue about these wheels/tires. Understandably, the Schumachers and AE are self explanatory. Tons of Trinity and Losi. Then there are discs, slotted wheels, and some that are 2 or 3 piece.

ok, why not, help!!! lol
