Side Winder sct 3800kv system

Post by rctenracer »

New to brushless . Funds are limited to $175.00 . With the prices on brushless systems I guess I am going entry level . Side winder sct 3800kv system is what I am looking at for a HPI blitz ese kit with 88 spur and 19 pinion.

You could probley step it up a bit for a 2wd truck, I always enjoyed the 4600kv in my slash 2wd. now a 4x4 needs the 4pole 3800kv sct motor for more torque. You may be a little disapointed with a 3800kv on 2cell in a 2wd.

I would check out the Hobbywing ESCs. The run really well.

I have been eyeing the associated systems, such as this one:

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCACB&P=7

for some reason there isn't much info on this site now, but it used to have a different part number with a better description. They have a 3300kv, 3900kv, 4900kv.

I believe the 3300kv system is what is in the RTR kits, and is available as a takeout on ebay for under a hundred bucks. I was going to pick up a takeout system, and if that wasn't fast enough, get a different motor.

I may be pulling the trigger on one of these soon...they have an 80 amp version even cheaper.
