4.8mm ball studs with long 2.6 mm thread

When it's R/C related, but doesn't fit anyplace else.

That looks nice - is the shaft from Gallop/Progress?

No, just an ultima front wheel shaft.

It's a bit wiggly: the flanged collar has a little too much play in the shaft, and the M3 screw wiggles in the collar.
On the ghostrider I used a kingpin and threaded it into an alloy 4wd steering knuckle.

That is a nice solution Mr. ED, I will give that a taught because it also give you a changes to widen the front with a few mm as I see it!
