im kinda insulted by this
just because one wants to share something that they found
does not imply that i want to sale it, are undemine the dignity of the BST section
i have never put a thread on here of something that i have found and decided to share with the rc10talk members
with a secret agenda to sale!
be my guest to search through all my threads of cars that i have posted as being found are came across not once have i said anything about these going to the bst are hey these are for sale
your assumption of me breaking the rules on this forum is completely un called for and undeserved
this forum from what i can see, and have read was started so that we as a community
of vintage rc cars namely RC10s enthusaist ,can SHARE are love for these cars
and this is what i have done
your judgement on my posting is unjustified and unfair
and belittling to me and my status as a active member

Very good find. I say shelf it because I would.

If a had a well kept track to run on I would probably say run it. No need to take it out and tear it up when you can buy a Rustler and do that.

I don't think he meant it in any belittling way. You have to remember, he is in Switzerland and even though they speak many different languages and are mostly highly intelligent, he may have lost a bit of "tact" in his wording into English! In any case, you know many people have tried to sell cars this way! I think most of us know this is just a legitimate question!

My answer is to run it and have some fun! It's not a perfect car! You will find a perfect mint one later!

BTW, my heritage is in Switzerland. One day I want to go there! : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Littau

i could understand this if this thread was from a one post two post newbie that had been warned about such sale tactics in the past
but to assume that I (farmer) a every day visitor and contributor and rule abiding member of this site!
is cr@p
I dont go around accusing members about the sincerity of there threads/post
i guess we all will need to start putting disclaimers in our threads when we post new finds and such
are not share at all
sad!
because thats one of the funnest parts of this site is to look at all the wonderfull cars

Ok, my turn!

I think Paul meant it as a joke- given how much we have gotten that with newb's this summer. Or at least that's my take given Paul's time and posting style on the board- If I'm incorrect he'll mention it- He does reside in the land of gummy fish, but is trilingual and pretty well adapted to the cultures of which he can communicate in.

I do however like your response in defense of your thread, mostly because you hit on all of the key reasons we all come here more than most places, and appreciate the cars, styles, history or whatever does it for you about these things. It was genuine and not
just an "I'll drive half way around the world to..." kind of a thing. Thank you-

Do me a favor before Paul clears this up- don't for a minute not participate in anything here if someone doesn't agree with how you go about enjoying this vintage hobby (not knocking Paul, just an chance to make a point) It's your's just as much as it is anyones-

If Paul had put a single smiley at the end of his comment would it change the way you read his post?

I read it and thought it was very toung in cheek, but there again I read farmers reply and was expecting to see a smiley there as well thinking both were just joking around.

so what is a "princess" when it comes to r/c cars? does it mean to use it up like a $2.00 whore?
