What if you used a really fine sand paper and astroglide? Should work ok then?

If you have a auto parts store
Go get some aerosol electric parts cleaner
Same stuff as the old brushed motor cleaner
Spray on get a old credit card and push a Lil
Than after u get the sticker off spray again on
The gum residue edge it with the credit card
And it will ball up and wipe clean
Been doing it for years i think the cold of the
Spray does something to the gum

another vote for goo gone. just rip those decals off, grab a rag with some goo gone and let it rip. once you're done try some rubbing alcohol to the whole chassis.
