Losi xx ke 'Pour femme'

Post by urpaldan »

So my girlfriend had a blast on some of my cars and enjoyed it. Then she asked if she could have one :?

Me : 'What kind would you like babe?'

Her : 'A pink one!'

So here we are! I picked this up a while back from ebay and it was a dogs dinner tbh. However it had a trinity front bulkhead so i bought it anyway. It also came with a huge bag of spare parts :)

After giving it a right good clean and assembling im pleased so far. All the blue trinity bits were a mess so i didnt feel bad powder coating them pink. Still waiting on a few more bits and pieces for it. Got a fusion 13.5 brushless system to throw in. Not sure what to do with the body.

Anyway, what do you think?

Looks superb! Nice job on it dude!

Did you powder coat the springs or are they painted? Or even proper losi pinks?
If in doubt go flat out!

Yeah the springs were a pain! I soaked them in paint stripper then bead blasted them. Eventually got them clean enough to coat. I hope the heat hasnt affected the spring rate!

I think the answer is obvious...

By the way; I don't have an idea for the body but I do have one for the paintscheme.
I think you should get some frog decals and transfer that design to whatever body you get

Nice job on the powdercoating, it looks great. My little girls race car has a bright pink shell too

Just looked at your location, and it looks like you're from my neck of the woods too

I like it - reminds me of some BMXs in the 80s - the pink goes well too with the purple spur the odd screw dotted hear & there. The XX will be a great car to learn with for your girlfriend for sure.

As for your bodyshell - I think a Jammin Johnson esq' colour scheme will work well?

P.S; do I spy B&W speakers in the background?

Thanks Ben! Whether she uses it more than a few times we shall see. Its a good excuse to have more than one car all set up ready to go. My mates can then 'borrow' it when shes not about for some racing!
