With hard anodizing the color depends on how long the parts are in the tank. The longer they're in, the darker they get. So from batch to batch they can vary a lot in color if the anodizing company doesn't monitor the time closely.
It also depends on the base material. We have a customer that requires a glass bead blast prior to anodizing on some parts and doesn't require it on others. The blasted parts produce a flat color, non-blasted parts are glossy. Like the differences in the first pics.

It's always hard to sell something you spent so much time on, especially since you did most of the work yourself and your blood and sweat went into it. I'd have a hard time letting something like that go. I dragged my truck across the ocean where it...

Do I really have to outline the dumbness in this thread? This whole thing serves as an example of rule violations and rule skirting. It's locked, and any similar is this rare/desirable/any interest in will be deleted.
So the family I just bought my vintage Kendrick dirtoval lot offered to sell a race ready kart. I pass the info to my cousin's husband and he states he'll sell a 2010 Bicknel race ready for a steal. So now I have to decide what's more important....

Valid points from all. The plan was to get settled and start racing street stocks for 2012 season with my cousin-n-law. But honestly think with me being the military, the kart would be way to go. Less of an investment and kart is easier to store...
