i would have saved money if i stayed home today

Post by GoMachV »

I am a sears repair man so I drive 100-200 miles a day. Today I was in an area I don't get too a lot, and I had some spare time so I hit up the lhs. In talking to the owner I found out he purchased the old store stock from the place up the street that went out of business. Found a few nice pieces, not terribly old but hard to find.......and stuff I needed. Full retail is better than eBay!

Then at lunch I am surfing craigslist and found this.....

No body but all else is there

Oh, and he had this too....

So yeah, grabbed it too. Never used

I guess this doesn't count cause it was shipped, but this was on my door step when I got home...

I'm a sucker for smaller scale RC

This was an expensive day. Hope tomorrow is better

Nice find on the DS! I didn't even see it on there. Was it on Portland? Ah well, according to the boss, I have enough cars...

Yeah, but it didn't turn up in the usual searches I was just skimming and found it. Not sure why but it worked for me! Better lucky than good I guess

What are your plans for the DS? I've also got one NIB and have no idea if I should leave it NIB or build it. How rare are they NIB really? Just curious what you're plans were for yours!

That's cool. I thought about just selling mine, but it seems like more of a pain in the *** than building it. I'll probably build mine too. Just gotta figure out what body to run on it.

Well poop. I got a call yesterday from a place that i found a while back. They dont sell RC but in asking about RC he said they had a box of old wheels and tires and i ended up purchasing the whole box. Well, the owner said he just found 2 boxes of old nip RC parts in the back room. So I'm driving an hour and a half to see how much this is gonna cost me. Wish me luck!

I think this find puts Farmer in his place now  I can't wait to get home and dig thru but for starters there are some brand new painted jerobee/Jomac bodies and a handful of clear ones, lots more tires and wheels, yx10 nip chassis, and at least 3 of the same damn chassis I just bought from aip on eBay last night lol

Pics definitely to come
