Stealth transmission parts interchangability question

Post by Dirtcar75 »

Will the T/B 4 transmission input shaft work in a 2.6 gt laydown transmission? I did a brushless conversion and it keeps slinging the pin out of the shaft that holds the back part of the slipper... So i want to go with the new style slipper and shaft if it will work in the trans.... Thanks ahead of time dj

All the same, unless you want to run a slipper and or mount a spur gear, then you need the shaft, both t/b4 slipper plates, the matching pads and spring then finally the correct spur.

Now, if your throwing the pin out of the topshaft then you either have the wrong pin or compressed the pin to insert it. I've run GT trans with Novarossi 1.95bhp .12's and 2.6'' foams at 40,000rpm and never thrown one-

Yeah thats what i was after was the new style slipper clutch im gonna buy it all a shaft plates pads spring washer and pinion but they dont have a 90t in stock so they orderd one for me and im gonna pick it all up when it comes in and the pin was old and worn out and my locking nut on the slipper is worn out and it keeps loosining up and when it does it thrown the pin.... It cant come all the way out because of my motor mount but it comes out and hits the mount spacers and locks it up and then it chews up the spur.... I did however put a new pin in it and a new slipper nut and its works fine now but im still wanting the new style slipper
