Drill it full of holes then line the INSIDE of the pan!?

Everyone, think about this the next time you want to take a Dremmel to you're B4.

C'mon... how much weight would have been saved by drilling a dozen 5/16" holes out of an already light aircraft grade aluminum pan? Then how much weight would have added back by lining it with vinyl paper? I bet the weight savings wouldn't have gained a driver more than 4 seconds of run time on a 1200mah Nicd pack in 1987.

But, I'm not going to sit on a high horse. I was guilty!!!

I drilled holes in my Kyosho Raider suspension arms, then later shaved metal off my RC10 tub. Comedy!

Out of curiosity, does it have a Date on the mag?

Yea, to think that NOW such a "tip" would be blasphemous to members here, as someone stated, I'm sure many of us were guilty of it BITD.

Yet milled Worlds chassis' fetch more money than plain old non-milled gold pans and nobody blinks an eye. Go figure. What a luxury to live in the future when everything is collectible instead of practical, where a "score" is more important than a victory.

That's just supply and demand. There's less of them out there and everyone wants to build a worlds car.

(Tod, Don't take it personal. We both know it wasn't your idea anyway. Don't worry about it. If it was good enough for Halsey, it was good enough for the masses. )
