Parma Vette Motor + misc
I´ve just spent a months salary on an old parts lot.
Going thru it, I´ve found a white Parma Vette motor # 3029 6 speed.
On the header it says 1/12 vette motor: Adjustable timing - comm trued - balanced - shunted - brushes.
It has two silicon leads sticking out of the endbell, I mean, just like that!
To me it seems very unadjustable, hence the standard looking endbell.
Which application was it ment for?
Thanks,
Dennis

Re: Parma Vette Motor
Post a pic and V12 can confirm but I'm thinking it was their 1/12 series from the early 80's. I have a Ferrari and a Renault from that series

Re: Parma Vette Motor
I have to say this Vette motor is unknown to me, seems being an other motor series than what I have seen until now. But also don´t know any Parma catalogue showing this Vette. I have to check my just aquired paperwork collection I got from a former shop, maybe this motor is showing up there.
Of course I want this motor too.

Re: Parma Vette Motor
Thanks for the answers
Where they made for certain Parma models?
I mean, did they have 1/12 cars named like the motors, Renault, Vette, Ferrari etc?

Re: Parma Vette Motor
There used to be scans in the scans archive of the Parma motors..... I know, because I put them there! That, and an ad for the 1:18 Cheetah..... but I revisited the thread today (here: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5260), and I don't see the pics any more????
Let me know if there is interest, and I'll do a repost if I can find my original scans....

Re: Parma Vette Motor
No, the motors are not related to any of the Parma cars. It´s just Parma used a name for each of the early motors, maybe for easier identification of the different motorwork or power range of each motor, comparing with fullscale cars. So a Porsche is faster than a Renault, then the Lotus but the Ferrari is the fastest. The question is, where goes the Vette? The problem just is regarding motorwork according to the card header, it doesn´t fit into the line of the Renault, Porsche, Lotus and Ferrari motor. So I think it is a complete different motor series than the other motors.DennisM wrote:Thanks for the answers

BTW I got a Parma Renault motor with one of my Gemini 1/12 cars, but I think that´s my only Parma motor at the moment.

Re: Parma Vette Motor
Thanks V12,
So perhaps there was a US muscle car motor series, hence the nickname "Vette".
I have a couple of Parma resitors looking like the one on Gomachv´s pictures.
But it´s not exactly the same, mine doesn´t mount by screw.
I would be really nice if Mr. Incredible would upload the scans again.
Thanks,
Dennis

Check the link above... I have added the pictures again. Not much, but they might help.
