Running 2.2" rubber on your Losi jrx2/pro/SE/junior
How do y'all do it? I've heard a couple different methods but wanted to see if there's some kind of consensus...

I just opened a set of duratrax nitro evader wheels (dtxc9848) and if it weren't for the long wheel pin they would fit great and clear the 5 link
Use shorter pins or cut down stock ones and you'd be fine

I have the parts, but I'm not going to run a 5-link...running h-arms in the rear.
But those wheels will fit on the stock axle?
Sucks they don't come in orange!

It slid right into my Jrxt, it's a good tight fit on the axle. At most you may need a washer before the nut- that's one thing I didn't check cause I ain't cutting my wheel pins

If I remember correctly, there were a couple different versions of wheels for the evader. Some were made out of a brittle plastic material...while others were nylon. I don't remember which is which.
Has anyone looked at the wheels from the thunder tiger buggy (phoenix)? If it's a clone of the b2/b3, I wonder if the wheels will fit as well.

You can use wheels for the Associated B4 (front and rear) directly on an H-arm car (I don't know about the 5-link). I used an extra rear axle spacer (the one that fits between the pin and hub bearing) on the front spindles to space the wheels out a little farther. Otherwise, they just drop right in.

Sweet...so sounds like I don't have to change axles anywhere...just find a wheel that fits and (maybe) insert a spacer.
I'll be running h-arms, so no need to worry about 5-link clearance.

I know you aren't running 5 link, my statement was that the Duratrax would clear just in case someone later finds this thread so I don't have to take the wheels off my truck again lol

Haha...and I still have the 5-link parts if I ever decide to run the car that way, so good info to know!

Fronts, you can use B4 rims with a spacer or Duratrax evader rims (although they break easier)
On the rear, I've found the easiest solution is to use a 12mm hex over the original pin and use Jammin CRT.5 rims. They have more offset than most 2.2" rims.
