Original Boxart RC10 Orange

Post by Saito »

I know this topic has likely been beaten with stick. What are folks doing to reproduce the boxart orange of the original RC10? Pactra Orange is too vibrant and rich. Tamiya Orange is slightly better but still not pale enough. In my searches, many have suggested Tamiya Camel Yellow. Its close but not orange enough. I know a custom mix may be in order perhaps using Faskolor (whose orange looks actually pretty good). Any pointers from boxart painters? Thanks.

Is there there a Rit dye colour or combination of colours that comes close to this?

Thinking of paint matching the wheels and ball rod ends.

What do you mean by that? Actually don't like the look of it, or don't like amateur attempts at replicating it?

HI!... I found that using Tamiya "Camel yellow" comes the closest to the boxart orange.

I am fully, 120%, without a doubt, tired of seeing that boxart paint job..... no matter who does it.

And its not that I dont like it.... I do. Its just so overdone.
