Hello Rc10Talk!!!

Post by kbillan »

Is this where Veterans go to retire?

I go by Keith Billanti on RCtech and well, everywhere else. Been involved with RC Cars on some level since I was about 4. My first kit was a Super G, grasshopper II and then first race kit was the Rc10T sport.

I have had so many kits throughout the years, probably 10+ XX buggies alone over the years. Was a team driver for Yokomo USA, Corally USA, CRC and Team Losi at one time or another. Started racing in 1993 and I was pretty hard into this game from 03' to 06'. My first daughter was born in 07' and that put me on Hiatus. Some spirts of racing between then and now and this past September I decided it was time for my now 7 year old to have a go at it. We have been racing every Friday since.

I am currently running a Losi 22 2.0 and she a 22SCT.

This past week my new RC10 reissue showed up and it has lead me to constant searches. Man. I kinda wish I just would have found an original.lol.. SO today I was able to score what appears to be a really nice shape 10T with the original box and skinnies up front! aaaand then I located a pair of XX's. FML.. another money pit hobby..lol.. but it was coming.. I have been after a NIB Losi XX (original fire box, not blue fire, not CR) for ages and am still kicking myself for missing one about 3 mos ago on eBay..

So in addition to RC. have been into restoring 80's BMX/Freestyle bikes, I have a few still in the wrapper Tony Hawk decks from 87'.. I may or may not in fact, be Batman.. depending on your point of view... and of course, neglecting the wallet..

looking forward to this new adventure.

Couple of quick before pics of the 10T. I took them with my phone and can never figure out how to upload to a message board from it. Had to wait till morning when I had the computer up.

Quite possibly what started me on this vintage kick- the first bike I ever restored= the same Purple 1987 GT Performer I had when I was 7.
