RC10T history request....(research page)
I love this site, and have found a great wealth of knowledge here, and continue to still learn. slotcarrod's history of the RC10 was the #1 reason I had joined on. I'm very into the 1st generation of the RC10's, in car form, or truck. I know it has been asked before, but will anyone ever do a RC10T history? My first love will always be the RC10T and would love to see an in depth history tread much like the RC10 history. Maybe to cover from the beginning with the 7001, Team Truck, 7011, all the way to the GT, in all forms.

Re: RC10T history request
I would love to, and had thought about it, but lack many examples, and knowledge. If I were to start, would anyone care to support?..... But I'd rather leave it to the pro"s

I'm not going to have the time to dedicate to one for the next, ummmm 2 years

You can do one, you just need to have confidence that what you know, and you do know these vehicles either by passion, or research. You got this-

Re: RC10T history request
May I throw some production years out, please let me know if I'm wrong.
#7001--- (1991-92)
#7035---(1992-94)
#7011---(1992-94)

That one's gonna be more interesting, a lot longer run with a lot more variants. '93-'06, I think about 15 or 16 kit numbers.GT's--? still need to get on it.

Re: RC10T history request
Yeah, the early ones came without the "accessory packs" so you could choose pull or non pull, later new model numbers came with the packs, then there were editions with OS and Dynamite engines, etc. Lots of different model numbers.Sixtysixdeuce wrote:That one's gonna be more interesting, a lot longer run with a lot more variants. Re: RC10T history request
It would be really cool to see the "T" equivalent of slotcarrod's buggy thread. That thread has helped me (and countless others) out so much! Charlie's thread with the prototype would be the perfect starting point.
A solid "T" reference thread using the community's knowledge of Associated history would be another one of those awesome keystones that separates this forum from the others.
My AE stuff seems to be fairly common, but I would be more than happy to provide pics of any of it for such threads! And I finally got a dslr I'm itching to use....

Re: RC10T history request....(research page)
I will soon be asking for pic's of variations of truck's, and parts that I need, and encourage all members with such items, and info to participate.
I would also ask that any questions, and comments be addressed here, rather then the "History of the RC10T" thread.
I look forward to seeing what we can do together, and as this will be a work in progress, your patience, and participation is much appreciated.
Thanks

Re: RC10T history request....(research page)
Thought I would start by asking if anyone had any pics of a NIP chassis, and nose plate that was used on Cliff Lett's prototype truck.
Also these:
-front black arms (not the T2 type)---found
-early-late 7035's (stock examples)
-Mid 7011 with black, and white combo (with early black arms) (stock examples)
-pic of second "B" stamp chassis revision (Black chassis with both in line, and off line battery holes).
Please PM me with what you have. If possible pic's with a white back drop. Thanks

Re: RC10T history request....(research page)
the T2 always intrigued me. it's was a very well designed platform that didn't last very long at all before being replaced. that's very unlike AE or any other manufacturer. they get a lot out of their platforms. was this platform meant to replace the team car buggy and at the last minute they went with the worlds car for some reason? I've always wondered where the T2 came from and if there were initial bigger plans for that design and why that designed was only used specifically for a truck only for a couple of years.
