Well since this tread has been re-activated:
"Once the color you desired has been achieved, you can "heat seal" the chassis in a boiling water
bath, or boiling dye bath--I used the dye bath, but outside on a pair of propane kettle cookers and ran then at around 275 F"
How long was that done for?

I really don't remember, it was a mix of stuff including Castrol Super-Clean....but it was 4 years ago.... :|

How long was that done for?
I let the part (chassis) reach 275-300, or about 5 mins. Four years later it still looks perfect.
