Hi all. New to the site, but not RC
Gents,
Glad to have found your forum. Brother called the other day and indicated that he had found our RC10's when cleaning out his garage. Hey! Wait a minute....how/when did you steal my RC10 from mom's attic ???? Well, long story short, he gave me both to look over and possibly repair. I got mine going and will work on his a bit more as the Futaba Magnum Jr. Tx will not power up. Mine has been modified a bit when racing in the 80's, but still retains that RC look. It has the old Futaba gear and the old Novak ESC. : ) When I get a chance, I'll post some pics of them and hopefully pick your brains for a little advice as I relive my glory days of racing the RC10.

Which version of the magnum? The early were a square battery holder, the newer version went to a slanted one. A lot of times the slanted ones would hold the batteries too tight and they couldn't make good contact. Worth looking at

Thanks. I've got the first version with the square/rectangle battery holder.

Welcome to the fun. You will enjoy it here.

Something clever goes here...

welcome, check power switch. cycle it on and off a few times to maybe knock any corrosion off, also check battery holder and clean contacts. The futabas were pretty stout and I've had the switches act up.

Thanks. I'll give it a shot this weekend. I also found a "Jammin' Jay Halsey" news letter addressed to me from 1984. Will have to post some pics once I figure it out. Every time I try, it's either "too big" (I wish) or says it doesn't support Bitmap. #$%&

Nice! When I opened the old RC10 box stored in my parents' attic I found mine sitting with the same Dahms body
Not too many of those around!

Very cool N.B.! Does anyone know who's making tires/rims that will fit my rig?

For original looking tires and wheels, you can still buy the classic wheels and tires from associated. There are also aftermarket rims and tires by jconcepts great for modern tracks
