Re: DS build
Well while my rc10 is down i swapped it's electrics into the DS. Just a mild Reedy 19t and LRP esc. I'm gonna forget about goin brushless because thing is twitchy and not easy to control. I also think rear is too stiff because there is no traction at all. Not very happy with performance.

Re: DS build
I had same twitchiness on my DS with brushed and brushless. I adjusted the exponential steering on both and it was like night to day. big difference. Also kept the brushless setups (I love little maintenance).bigmd wrote:Well while my rc10 is down i swapped it's electrics into the DS. Just a mild Reedy 19t and LRP esc. What condition are the rear tires in? do they seem a little aged? a little dry rotted? or are they soft and squishy? Im running HPI vintage tires on one ds and the HPI Pirelli rally tires on the other. The rally tires prove to have more grip. I have yet to run the original DS tires.
I love the progress so far
Re: DS build
Tires are new and soft. I did adjust rear stabilizer and took out a shock spacer. I'll test it later. As far as steering goes I don't have those adjustments . Just a Traxxas 2.4 I got off eBay .

Re: DS build
bigmd,
I think softer shock springs might be the ticket for better traction. I have not yet run but set up with gold rear, black front. I will give you an update as soon as my tires arrive.
