Got one, raced it and killed the belt, running a.... stock 540 mabushi
The belt pitch is just too small, especially for a slipperless tranny

You almost need a modified motor plate that allows a longer belt along with larger pinion pulley.

A larger pulley interferes with the back of the bulkhead and diff outdrives
There's no idler in the ultima gearbox , so the topshaft sits very close to the diff-outdrives.
I once did conversion to beltdrive on the same principal: using an M3 belt and diff as spur.
But even with the M-sized tires it was crazy fast

thanks: I added these about 6 months ago to my ebay wishlist. I expect this to be too large though and with the new import regulations to europe trial and error has become an expensive method
