Cougar drive belt
Cougar drive belt
Are drive belts for original family of Cougars still available from anywhere?
I seem to have developed skipping on a couple of mine, even with eccentrics set quite tight.
Cheers,
Dan

Re: Cougar drive belt
if you know the pitch and tooth count, im sure they could be easily located. I found some belts for a bosscat in different widths through Misumi and SDP.si

Re: Cougar drive belt
Just had a look at tranny in both my Works and Club 10, off chassis, so I can see into the bottom and belt looks to climb out of 'mesh' every couple of turns of the diff, as if pitch is very slightly out. Slipping noise is obviously a bit of a 'twang' when resulting excess is taken up.
Did belt spec change at any time? I'm wondering if i've swapped belts for fresher but wrong examples.
Cheers,
Dan
