Re: Cure for the itch (RC10GT)
I might have to look into the Tower Hobbies body, it's a fair bit cheaper then the TBG body.
Marlo - I rarely paint bodies too, I've decided to display all my cars with clear bodies which has been no small feat. Since this was on my shelf is the reason why the body is clear without protective film. Once the body is painted I'll run it.
My other GT's all have clear bodies.

Ihaven't even been painting my runner bodies lately. I smash them up so quickly it hardly seems worth the effort.

Re: Cure for the itch (RC10GT)
Thanks for the heads up. I am aware of the tbg bodies, but still "on the fence" about them, for several reasons. Especially the original body, since the Tower body is less than half the price of the tbg, and, as I mentioned, is not a copy, but from the original mold.Cornholio wrote:TTBG is making bodies again for a few of the GT models, check Fleabay.justinspeed79 wrote:Check out the Tower Hobbies ST15 body. It's a 99% perfect replica for less than $20 shipped. I don't know if you already saw my old posts about it. I need to update it, but I'm 99.9% sure the Tower body is made with the original GT mold, and I have the evidence to back it up, just haven't got around to taking pics, etc.

I don't think the ST-15 is from the original mold. The body is smaller and fits inside a normal GT body. The detail is more crisp then TBG but the body post dimples are annoying.
For the price the body is excellent !
