Well the white stuff has fallen out of the sky and well into hunting season. So just about time to dust the rc corner off. Indoor DO track I occasionally run my Rayborn LTO Nastruck has brought back the street stock class. But instead of stock buggies, the rule book states center mount battery chassis. I know some of these guys will cheat in this "fun" class and I'll only be making random appearances. I have most of it in my head but trying to figure out which RC10 to pull this SS duty and what trans.

I have a modern car with V2 shocks and b4 Topshaft. I do have an RPM 2.65 transmission along with stock stuff. I also have vintage custom DO RC10S with the cut down rear towers.
I'm also picking up 3 degree rear arm mounts so I'm assuming I'll use those.

Just need to decide on which route to go and get it done. Should be a fun winter.

Post some pics of your Raborn. I'd love to see them. You could always run the battery down the middle of it!

When I get to the house I'll see if I can't upload some. My phone and this site don't play well together.

Trying to find out if how loose on the rulebook they are. If they have people taking terminator style cars, I'm either running my Rayborn or looking for another Rayborn. Had hoped to run the Nastruck class and street stock class.

If you need Raborn info I'm the place to go. I'm trying to get Barry Raborn to get a limited edition Invencer re-re out. I'm modeling it in 3D to print parts as well but am trying to get some kits from original leftovers back out there.

Could run a Nemesis if the battery placement is only rule. Offset all the electronics instead.

Ok, so have confirmation that its buggy chassis. So the Rayborn can stay set up for Nastruck.
So the plan originally was to take all the parts I put on this car and put back on their respective chassis. I have a thread of the build up for a vintage race. Well, call me lazy but I'm just going to throw some body mounts, wheels and body at this thing and send it. I picked up another RPM 2.65 topshaft so could go that route (Rayborn has the other). Also, picked up RPM 3* rear blocks, should I throw those on? If I remember I was told they'd help even on oval.

Starting to look like something.

Hint of the paintjob I'm recreating. Let's just say it was my favorite driver before he made it big. The number on the car is also a number I used in baseball as it was my favorite NY Yankee. The year was the year my wife was born. So maybe you can guess who's car it was?

Well screwed up and grabbed the wrong can when painting. Thought I grabbed black and grabbed Gunmetal. So after that I was like whatever. I decided to change up the Gold for Copper which I had on hand. Still need to get some stickers made but we'll call it good. I'll just tell everyone I did it all on purpose!!!

These just came in tonight and haven't decided if I want to run my Aluminum Stealth with B4.1 topshaft/slipper or run another 2.65 RPM trans. I'm assuming the 3* blocks are a no brainer.

Been working on this turd for a minute. Picked up a late team truck for the tub. Noticed the tub had a nice flat black paintjob. Didn't care for that.

I am curious, what kind of rear body mount is it that you used? The mounts that I have been finding for sale online (Speedy Racing Parts), look like the mounting point would be too far back (raising the rear of the body too much).

As much as I love R/C I don't know the first thing about 1:1 cars. I like my Kia because I get 40mpg and it has a 1200 watt stereo in it. My "pitch the body" reference only had to do with how beautiful the chassis and suspension was on your DS. I don't know enough about Mustangs to hate them.
