Re: Shodog's Porsche 911 Carrera RSR builds
I remember doing the stickers on my AAR 'Cuda body...one part that concerned me was aligning the 4 stickers that outline the windshield trim; get any one of those crooked and the windshield wouldn't look good. My sticker sheet (HPI) also had a flaw in one of the side window stickers due to a kind of fold the sheet had in that spot and the sticker there had bubbled up a bit. That flaw was clearly visible after the sticker was applied. I also hate air bubbles, and the fact that someday, stickers all eventually peel up in corners or at their extremities.
Even though the body turned out beautifully, I am definitely not a fan of stickers. But when they're applied as beautifully as you did with this body, they really make the model look more realistic.

Finished off the road car tonight. This one came out equally killer.

Re: Shodog's Porsche 911 Carrera RSR builds
That looks great!! I can totally see that tooling around in LA now.. Not to take anything away from your cars but I would have preferred white or silver for the Carrera and Porsche decals on the blue one, but that is my nit picking..
I love the wheels and spacing.. Overall it came out great.. I agree Tamiya made a few dumb choices in the body parts like the headlights, but given the right motivation and time, those could be addressed.. Nice work nonetheless (insert sincere "golf clap"..)..
Oh and by the way, love the California custom plate you put on.. Nice touch!!

It's a 190mm body but it's best to use 3mm and 6mm offset wheels so they will fill out the wheel well. Overall wheelbase is 251mm you you have to be able to shorten the wheelbase of a normal touring chassisDiamond Dave wrote:I am looking for a 190mm body, what are the specs on this one?

Re: Shodog's Porsche 911 Carrera RSR builds
Today I got my set of Correct Model Classic G wheels for my RSR road car. The front wheel is a 3mm offset and 9mm offset on the rear. I really like that old school BBS look to these wheels.
