scr8p's B2 build
I've been doing this a long time, and surprisingly, this is my first B2. Did a little trading with Eddie and got this one to mess around with. There's a good chance this may become my VONATS car for this year, but we'll see.

I've got to get my built as well, maybe this will motivate me

Re: scr8p's B2 build
if you run it at VONATS, swap out the nose brace for a B3/T3 one for sure. Save the B2 one for when you are done and put it on the shelf. unless of course you have a few, then sell me one

I thought about that too.jwscab wrote:if you run it at VONATS, swap out the nose brace for a B3/T3 one for sure. Save the B2 one for when you are done and put it on the shelf. unless of course you have a few, then sell me one
I bought a front brace off ebay early last year. It was super cheap, looked like it didn't have the sway bar holes, and had a B2 header card. But unfortunately it did. Oh well......

Re: scr8p's B2 build
The car has b3 front arms on it right now, but Eddie sent along new b2 arms, as well as a new bulkhead. I'll stock up on some parts before the race.
I don't have any huge plans for this. I may have the aluminum pieces re-anodized a different color. Add some V2 shocks, titanium turnbuckles, probably an Avid Triad slipper since I have a stack of spurs for it already.

Re: scr8p's B2 build
Looks good, I still have to convince myself to add a B2 to the collection. I always promised myself to stop at the alloy tub era. Looks like your car has a wrong right rear arm mount?

If you don't have any, I do have a few sets of B2 rear arm mounts that are the correct 4-40 screw type. I have been stockpiling B2 stuff for a while...

Re: scr8p's B2 build
The arm mounts are correct B2 mounts (L & R). But, the left one was broke at some point, and was glued and screwed back together. It no longer sits flush with the chassis and makes it look like it has a bunch of anti-squat.

Re: scr8p's B2 build
I find it fascinating with the RC10 series, with each new model you can see evidence of the previous version, on every single one. From the RC10 to the B2, and even from the B4 to the B5, there arr obvious similarities. They just keep perfecting and perfecting, what was originally an excellent design.

Are they really correct? With 4-40 screws?scr8p wrote:The arm mounts are correct B2 mounts (L & R). But, the left one was broke at some point, and was glued and screwed back together. It no longer sits flush with the chassis and makes it look like it has a bunch of anti-squat.

Same here, my B2 is somewhat apart, I need to go through it and get it all back together again.JK Racing wrote:I've got to get my built as well, maybe this will motivate me

Re: scr8p's B2 build
I think I have some rear arm mounts... I'll look through my stuff. The most unicorn stuff that is NIP is the correct chassis, Tranny plate and the body IMO. I also have a short chassis NIP if you are interested in that?
I have 3 new built B2's.... 1 original, 1 original with a short chassis, and a prototype.... Just need a sport model and one body for the short chassis and that set will be complete.

Re: scr8p's B2 build
Yeah, I don't need too much stuff. I'll stock up on some of the plastic parts for spares..... after I replace a few pieces during the rebuild.
The chassis is good, probably send the aluminum stuff out for ano though.
