kyosho prototype zx chassis x2
I found another chassis that was made by Team Losi's Jon Anderson and Jack Johnson because they were on team Kyosho in 4wd. the battery slots are moved forward. only 4 or 5 of them were made...Jack, jon, gil, and steven dunn.

Re: kyosho prototype zx chassis
Interesting pics again. Thank You for sharing them! The ZX-chassis seems to be 7-cell version, one cell seems to fit between SP-cells in to the middle of the car just in front of motor. The plastic part in front of motor "Upper Desk mount" just may need some dremeling since the middle cell is very rear. Very similar chassis was e.g. Mike Dunn's 1991 ROAR nats winnig ZX.
BTW: What was this Team Losi thing "Hide one eye with hand" ? Jirka

Re: kyosho prototype zx chassis x2
so check out this gem i just won off ebay. its a zx, but do u see that prototype chassis
here is what the seller had to say: I got it from eBay a few years back. I cannot remember from where or who, but the previous owner I think was the original owner and clearly hadn't run it in a while, as it had DC electronics in it. I tore the whole thing down and rebuilt everything. It was actually, originally a ZX, but I replaced the gear diffs with brand new ball diffs, installed a brand new slipper, and installed ZXR towers. That's all it really needed to become a ZXR. Then I added some other stuff, like the RB5 shocks and the aftermarket castor blocks and steering rack. I ran it a few times, but really, I have too many runners and I almost never get to use this one. Part of me regrets selling it, because occasionally I do like to take it to the track and fool around with it. But on the other hand, if someone else can get more use out of it, then they should.
As for the spare chassis you asked about, I honestly don't know much about it. Someone mentioned to me that it might actually be for an Optima Mid. Since I'm not entirely sure, I'm throwing it in with this Lazer since it looks like it might fit.

Re: kyosho prototype zx chassis x2
Ok now this caughr my eye, and did notice Jacks chassis wasnt the same as i was using at 93 worlds warm ups but didnt get much chance talking to him, he passed me his car started talking and unfortunately I got dragged away by another person, possibly Masami.
Yes the team tested, discussed tried and developed, and a lot from this car and optima made the zxs, plus bits from the zxs ended up on the zx5. Ive still got a few proto bits but not chassis items.
Will there be any chance i could get a cad drawing of the proto chassis so I can have one made? Be intetesting to see how it compares to my version minus the centre cell hole.
