Re: Ebay Bargain XXT G+ (Re-build time!)
From what I have seen, the grey ones come with the kits, but when you buy them separately they tend to be in the natural colour....I am sure there are some on eBay currently though Dan, albeit used....

On the subject of these levers - i'd like to find a set in the grey colour - these would be for by XX buggy, the kit I have has the parts in white, but as I want to match the original car I owned BITD which had the grey levers - maybe someone out there has a set??

Strangely, I was checking the header cards of the NIP parts i've used & the steering lever set is labelled A-1602..... the same as the reference in the G+ instructions/exploded diagram - not A-1601 as I would have expected given mytimac's explaination

I fitted the wheels & tyres last night along with the shell - I will post updated pics as soon as i've managed to drop in the electrics & finish off the shell with some decals. One thing if for sure, it looks nice & minty fresh with some shiney new boots!

Re: Ebay Bargain XXT G+ (Re-build time!)
You might try getting rid of that RPM part linking the bellcranks. Put in the normal factory Losi one that allows adjustment. That might help with any further adjustment.

Re: Ebay Bargain XXT G+ (Re-build time!)
I haven't run it yet (I'm a bit scared to TBH
) But everything is hooked up & works, time will tell how durable it will be & how it performs with the old brushless system, anyway here's some pics of my finished XXT G+;

Re: Ebay Bargain XXT G+ (Re-build time!)
Thank you
I wasn't sure if i'd gone a bit over the top with the decals - but I love the 'Damn Yankees' ones
I had to cut the bumper off the lights/grille decals to make it fit the XXT shell
The Trakpower LiPo is too wide to sit right down into the battery slot (originally designed for NiCad cells) A balsa wood pad lifts the battery out of this slot for a better location, idelly i'd need something to stop the battery from sliding side-to-side but with it sitting higher means the bar/strap holds it down quite tightly

Re: Ebay Bargain XXT G+ (Finished Pics on Page.3)
Quick update;
Gave this a shake-down run in the street last night (at dusk when all the annoying kids had gone to bed lol!) & I must say i'm impressed with how it performs - yes, the early brushless system 'cogs' when pulling away from a standstill, but once its rolling the initial pick-up & mid-range punch is impressive, especially for a 'truck'. I can remember testing this motor/esc combo in a touring car (around 2000ish) - the profile was really too aggressive to make it drivable, but in the bigger heaver truck it seems fine.
I had forgotten how forgiving & progressive the handling is on these stadium trucks, nice & easy to drift & slide it about! I think I made a good decision on the tyres.... I remember how versatile the Schumacher Vee4s were on the rear of a mate's Nitro10 Bitd, good on dirt & grass but also reasonable on tarmac - i'm hoping they'll last for a decent amount of time.

I'm afraid I don't know the name of the RPM wheels on my truck.... they came with it!
You used to see RPM wheels for sale for the XXT all the time on ebay.... but never this design.
