After talking with my brother about our old RC cars and the fact that I have been working on an old RC10 that I purchased, he located an old Plano tackle box full of parts.
After opening this box I located some old Yokomo 834 parts. Anyways, I have got the bug to take the parts and build a complete car.
Can anyone here direct me to a good website where I could purchase some needed parts. I have been looking on Ebay, but there is not too much listed on that site. Thanks.....
you have an ambitious project there, stick around ask questions, get into the B/S/T section and you will have some more openings to finding some of the harder to find pieces. Other than that, these guys have set you on the best path to finding parts.
check ebay early and often as well.
I would first start with a manual if you can track it down, I believe I have seen one on this forum, so you can match part numbers to missing parts. Of course, you can sub in stuff as well, like shocks and such.
Custom works dominator used some 834b parts so there is another avenue to explore.

Thanks for the info, I do check Ebay on a regular basis.
I did just pick up a brand new Hot Trick roll bar and I am waiting on an repo oem chassis.
Here is a little update on the 834b. I have this chassis on the way to Maryland, Thanks to GoMachV.
I'm am very impressed by the looks of this chassis.
one way can be a rpm bearing cleaner. holds it in a housing, spey a rc cleaner into the tip. like perfomrance plus. Then add some bearing oil and spin to lubricate. One i do it.
The pics are mighty beautifull . Do you have some text to go with them?
Like: 'I built this' or 'bought it and restored it' or 'this was Gill's car before he turned the other way to check out the trophy girl '
i COULD SWAP MY NIB YZ-834B FOR A NIB KYOSHO TURBO SCORPION.

No, sorry.... the Cat was the one (well, one of the ones) I wanted back in the day as a teenager, but was totally out of my price range. I think at $400.00 or so. I can't bring myself to part with it.
I was so happy that I got an almost complete 834b / Dog fighter with tires, gears and chain in great condition. Unfortunately the pre-owner was obviously a full time smoker right in front of the shelve where the car was stored. After...

It's virtually impossible to put a price on but between £375 and £575 depending on the day could go higher, if you put £600 buy it now on eBay it might go or sit there forever .
This car has yet to be restored. I bought this off ebay awhile back. I just found a new unpainted RPS body for it. I still need to tear it down and clean it up. Found some original tires and wheels. I really like the look of these buggies. Does...

That's awesome. I have the same parts to do a similar build. What size bearings and shims did you use to mount the rear trailing arms to the aluminum mounts.
