Kyosho Turbo Scorpion 2016
Kyosho Turbo Scorpion 2016
A first “leaked” teaser image of the expected Kyosho Turbo Scorpion re-release buggy has appeared on the internet. Following the re-release of the 1980’s Tomahawk, Scorpion and Beetle kits, the former top-of-the-foodchain Turbo Scorpion would be a sensible next step in the company’s re-release schedule. The somewhat blurry image shows a buggy with brushless motor and what appear to be modern 2.2″ rims and tyres, showing the release might target the growing interest in vintage racing. We bring you more information on the possible release as soon as they become available.

Re: Kyosho Turbo Scorpion 2016
If Kyosho rereleases all cars based on the Scorpion chassis, would that mean they'll do the same with the Optima and we can expect a Javelin, Turbo Optima, Salute, and Optima Pro?

Re: Kyosho Turbo Scorpion 2016
Ugh. Isnt the whole scorpion platform being beaten to death? I guess it makes sense for marketing, but how are they going to make it legit? Possibly ball diff? Long stroke shocks? The 2.2 wheels are a good start, but do those really fix the bad handling of that platform in general?

If any company beats a platform to death, it's Tamiya...masters at Flogging the Frog (chassis).

Mother-of-god! That's one good looking RC car! I hope it's reasonably priced, cuz I want one.
Re: Kyosho Turbo Scorpion 2016
if it was enlarged by 10 times, would look like a real one.
I really like the steering wheel and am going to print one as similar as the picture shows.

Re: Kyosho Turbo Scorpion 2016
It's only brushless when you put a brushless in it...
I'll defo pick one up. Then I'll slap on some proper 1.5" from an optima, and we have a shelf-winner. No need to run the darn thing, we all know it's so anti-climactic to run anyway. Like an SRB.
But in box art fashion, with the KC's and all, damn it looks sexy...
Thanks Kyosho!
