Hello from Jackson, MS!
On a recent trip home to visit my parents over Thanksgiving, I decided to bring back with me my RC10 Graphite with a Futaba controller that I had back 20+ years ago. Yes, the common story you get tired of hearing about!
I'll plan on rebuilding it. The batteries that I had, needless to say, are pretty much toast. I was able to get about a 30 second charge on one of them, just to see if the car was operational, and it appears to be! I was very surprised to see that the AA batteries in the controller still had a good charge, go Duracell!
I would like to modernize it, and get it back up and running. I've been looking at the "Resurecting/Modernizing Your Vintage R/C's" thread, but many of those links are now dead, and it is still very greek to me. In the mean time while I try and decode a little of what I am reading, if anyone wants to mentor me along the process, it would be a huge help!
Looking forward to exploring the forum some more,
Floyd
EDIT: I should mention, I have no desire to race at a track, just want something that I can play around and tinker with.

Welcome!
That was my story a couple years ago too. Before you know if you'll have a bunch of them, they multiply like rabbits

Re: Hello, noob here!
Welcome! Your story and motivation is eerily similar to my own.
Post up a thread with pictures of that graphite in the vintage section. Then start looking at new ESC's and Lipo batteries, haha.
