Need some help, noob questions.

Post by chunkluv »

Hello!

I have been rebuilding my old RC10 A stamp that I had when I was a kid in the 80s. It's almost ready to run, but I have a few questions, if you fine folks could help me out. I've been trying to find the answers myself, but have not had much luck.

1. While rebuilding one of my gold shocks, the bottom c clip retainer ring did what retainer clips do... it flew off into the air and into another dimension and I cannot find it. If anyone could give me a link to where I can buy some more. All I can ever find are the E clips that are on the king pins.

2. I know the dimensions of the tires, but I'm looking for some bashing rear tires for half pavement and half dirt fun using the bean wheels. Something that isn't so "knobby".

Thanks guys, been lurking here a lot and you have all helped me greatly, plus love looking at your cars. :D

For the clips, I have a mcmaster carr part number... You'll get plenty of them but they are cheap :-)

Most of the 1.5 rears you will find wear quickly. Your tires will be less knobby running on pavement in short time

Home Depot sells internal retaining clips but I don't remember if they've got the right size for the shocks. I know they've got the correct size for the 6-gear outdrive gears.
