I've had my eye on the SSC10 Chassis Kit for awhile so will be watching what you do.
I have a couple... the chassis feels nice and solid. Once I finish my box-stock build. I want to get going on this to hopefully make it out to the track in a few weeks.
Thanks for pointing out the very existence of the SSC10 chassis... which I didn't know about either. This looks pretty darn awesome...
The fun bit is, I initially read "SC10" and I was thinking "wtf, man..."

I'm debating if I want to order one of his fabricated motor guards or do what the original SSC10 builds did, aka chop the tail off a chassis.
I do have a good donor chassis that has a straight tail but is otherwise hacked and scuffed to be otherwise useless.
If the "donor" chassis is of no value other than the tail section you need, dremel on!
I ended going with Boca Green Seal Bearings. I was eyeing ceramic but the cost is pretty high. We'll see how these go.
I do have to give a special thanks to Boca, because I pointed out their "World's" bearing kit was for the original, not the ReRe. After chatting with them, they gave me such a great deal I got 3 complete bearing sets for less than the cost of most ceramic kits.
"RC Car & Truck Green Seal Bearing kits have been an industry standard for many years and are specially designed for off-road or excessively dirty driving environments. These ABEC #1 bearings are maintenance free and lubed for the life of the bearing. The heavy duty rubber seal provides extra protection against the harshest elements."
I was torn... I almost bought an Avid kit because you can customize what type of bearing for each size. The Boca rep was so helpful and the discount was just too good to say no too. We'll see how they spin...
Broke down and ordered an SSC rear motor guard. Too lazy of late to hack off the tail of a chassis and have to clean it up, drill it, etc. I want to build! LOL. Crossing my fingers the bearings show up today/tomorrow so I can really get started this weekend.
Just building a box stock, per the manual World's ReRe. Hope to put it up on the shelf next to my original Worlds. Although the latter has seen significant track time back in the day, still has the dirt in the crevices. lol.
Anyway with the ReRe...

This design still looks SOOOOOO good even after ca. 30yrs. that it's shocking 8) 8) 8)
Now that the anodized parts for my ReRe projects are in, it's time to get building!
I think I have most of the parts on hand to complete this one except for the new Lunsford Worlds Retro turnbuckles I just ordered and maybe a few other little bits...

what rear shock tower is that I like the wing mounts?
The rear tower is just a short World's 3mm tower from RC Carbon Works. The wing mounts are from the B5M kit (91531).
...The car is gorgeous, very stunning. Love the colors.
Looks good! ...?...
i'd be interested in having a set, but i'm not too interested in ordering them part by part, not that i mind assembling them, if they come in a bag, but it's just that it seems kind of wasteful and expensive to order them one part at a time.
OT,...

They are indeed available as a kit, all in one bag. That's how I bought mine. Mine are still in the bag, as I went a different route. If you want the part number, PM me, because I try to save all the cardboard hanger cards that come on parts....
I bought a stealth transmission on ebay, it's obviously parted from some World's kit that were being blown out for $200 years back.
Anyway, tit's not the same as the original Stealth. after assembling it I find the slipper hub can run against the...
Had an original back in the day, so this was pretty much a must have for me

That Frog looks awesome! Are those side shocks upgraded? They look extra extra. I had a Hornet, which was awesome, when I was a kid but always wanted the Frog. Do you have any photos with the body off?
